  • Seattle International Film Festival: French and Francophone Films

    Things are heating up at the 2025 Seattle International Film Festival. This year, the festival will feature French language and Francophone interest films. The festival runs from May 15th through the 25th.
     
    Into The Wonderwoods is a French film but it will be dubbed in English for accessibility to young children who cannot read subtitles. 
     
    Jean Cocteau is the only film in this category with a guest scheduled to attend. For a complete list of the French Films coming to SIFF this year, click here.

  • Women's University Club Seeking New Advanced French Teacher

    Tuesdays at the Women's University Club from 1 - 3 pm
     
    Location: 6th and Spring in Seattle

    There are 6 to 8 students of a certain age. They read French literature and discuss, discuss current events, and do some grammar. Language spoken in class is mostly French.
    They are currently finishing their class with Voltaire’s Candide. They offer 3 sessions a year with 8 classes each starting in mid-September and finishing up in mid-May.

  • Introducing "The Pi Trio" Second Chapter Book

    "What's the biggest number in the world?" - This question by Rafael Montuori (second grade) inspired his dad to create a chapter book series called "The Pi Trio," which attempts to combine fantasy with fun facts about mathematics targeting kids ages 6-8. The first book, The Mystery of the Sun, was launched in 2024.
