All Gifts Matter!

The Annual Fund plays a vital role in the health and growth of any independent school, and FASPS follows the same model. Tuition covers only a portion of the cost of educating your child; the Annual Fund helps make up the difference. As part of the school’s budget, annual funds give the school the capacity to allocate resources directly towards programs and respond to arising needs during the year.   • What are the details of the 2018-2019 Annual Fund Campaign?

    In 23 years, thanks to the amazing efforts of a dedicated community, we have developed the most comprehensive, harmonized, and successful bilingual program in the area.
    The Annual Fund Campaign plays an essential role in ensuring we have the resources to provide each student with what he/she needs to reach his or her full potential. At a time when our expenses have increased with additional space and teachers to accommodate our growth, and a cap of students due to our current campus limitations, revenue from the Annual Fund is critical.

    The Annual Fund goal is $280,000 and we strive to reach 100% participation from our FASPS community.

  • Why not just charge more for tuition?

    Unlike tuition, gifts to the Annual Fund are 100% tax-deductible. In addition, many companies provide matching funds, which can double the amount of their employee’s donations.
  • Why do you need all the families to give?

    Supporting the Annual Fund is the best way to ensure the quality of education FASPS provides, as well as keep tuition increases to a minimum. Additionally, when seeking contributions from corporations and foundations, we need to demonstrate 100% participation by our current community.
  • How much should I give?

    At FASPS, between 8-10% of the budget is not covered by what tuition generates. Donation levels vary from a few dollars to thusands of dollars.  We know that families cannot all give at the same level, so gifts of all sizes will matter, and together will get us to our financial goal.
  • What does the Annual Fund actually support?

    Donations to the Annual Fund go towards the current fiscal year budget. Each year there is a specific theme for which the funds are used. Recent themes have included differentiation, professional development, and arts and technology programs. All funds are used during the school year in which the donation is made, meaning your gift has an immediate impact on the education of your child!
  • Any other reason I should give to the FASPS Annual Fund?

Donor Recognition

Each fall, FASPS publishes its Annual Report, which includes a listing of its generous supporters. The Donor Listing, which will be based on the giving levels described below, will total your combined gifts to the annual fund, the Gala fund-a-need(s), and corporate matches received by June 30.

The Age of Enlightenment in 18th century Europe was marked by a renewed and expanded vision of the world. As your support greatly assists us in providing a "world of possibilities" to our students, we have chosen to recognize our generous donors with giving levels named after some of these amazing icons who lived during this period, as they truly enlightened the world during their time.
  • Mae Jemison: $20,000 and up
  • Susan Anthony: $15,000-$19,999
  • Simone Veil: $10,000-$14,999
  • Rosa Parks: $7,500-$9,999
  • Marie Curie: $5,000-$7,499
  • Amelia Earhart: $3,000-$4,999
  • Marie-Madeleine Fourcade: $1,000-$2,999
  • Helen Keller: $500-$999
  • Maria Montessori: $1-$499
* At these levels donors will be invited to the Spring Recognition Event, and will have the opportunity to have their gift listed as “Given in Memory of” or “Given In Honor of” in the Annual Report. Please email the Development and Engagement Department at with any questions.

Note: Donors who give $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund will be invited the following fall to a kickoff event.
