Morning and afternoon Garderie is available Monday through Friday to students in TYPK through Grade 8. A blend of structured free time and outdoor play, Garderie encourages students to decompress and enjoy themselves after the school day. Dedicated Educational Assistants lead students in creative projects and games with their peers as well as with students from other grade levels. This relaxed and inclusive environment allows us to foster one of the most important FASPS core values: Community.
Hours & Fees: Garderie is open from 7:30am to 8:15am and from dismissal to 6:00pm. Parents may pre-register and pre-pay for as many or as few mornings and afternoons as they need per week. Pre-registered Garderie is offered at a cheaper rate than drop-in Garderie. Please see MyFASPS for our new, more detailed pricing structure.
School Breaks, In-service and Conference Days: Garderie Camp is available from 7:30am to 6:00pm during October break, February break, April break, and on in-service days (Note: Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for these services). Short-term Garderie is available free of charge only during scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences but not all day long. There is no Garderie service on national holidays or during December break.
Middle School Garderie Camp: We offer Garderie Camp during October, February, and April breaks to our Middle School students. This exceptional program allows students to take a break from their devices and enjoy relaxed and creative pursuits, including art, cooking, reading, recess, and board games.
To support learning in both French and English, our After-school Learning program provides an hour of learning assistance each afternoon. Students have a quiet space in which to complete their assignments and get help from a native French speaker. Registration is done on a trimester basis, and groups are limited to 10 to ensure that each student gets the help they need. After-school Learning is open to students in grades 3-5.
The Extended Day program offers a variety of Enrichment classes throughout the year to all students. Classes are typically from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and run on a trimester basis. Details for registration are available prior to the start of each trimester. Our list of enrichment activities is curated to challenge, delight, and enhance our students’ learning. For class details, including dates, descriptions, and costs, email Garderie@FASPS.org

Middle School teachers provide at least one office hour for their classes once a week, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Office hours are free of charge, and the schedule is posted at the beginning of the school year on the MyFASPS Middle School Resource Board. Students who are not participating in office hours or extracurricular or athletics programs, and who are not picked up by 3:45pm, will go to After-school Learning until 5:00pm, which is also free of charge. After 5:00pm, Middle School students join the elementary Garderie. For all care after 5:00pm, parents will be charged at the regular After Activities rate and will receive a monthly invoice for hours used.
