Classe Aventure

Classe aventure (or “Adventure Camp”) is our field trip-based camp designed for middle schoolers. No matter their level of French, campers will develop their French skills as they embark on their daily adventures.

Camp Facts
  • Growth for Middle Schoolers: This is a dynamic program designed to challenge campers, as they discover new places, develop skills, and step outside their comfort zones through real-world, collaborative activities.
  • Daily Field Trips: Included in the camp experience are visits to museums, parks, attractions, and more.
  • Hassle-Free Transportation: All day trips use FASPS buses, with costs covered in camp fees for safety and convenience.
  • Service-Learning: Volunteer projects are incorporated to strengthen ties to the community.

Session Dates, Themes & Pricing

WEEK 1 | THE ADVENTURE LEAGUE | $580
June 30-July 3

During this shortened week, campers will enjoy activities like hiking, navigating trails, playing outdoor games, learning basic survival skills, and participating in team-building challenges. These activities will develop their problem-solving skills and build their confidence while fostering a love for the outdoors.

WEEK 2 | CEO IN TRAINING | $725
July 7-11

This week campers will dive into hands-on projects across the technology, entertainment, healthcare, and sustainability industries Through workshops, guest speakers, and team challenges, they will explore real-world business operations with sharpening problem-solving, leadership, and collaborative skills.

WEEK 3 | OPERATION CIPHER: CRACK THE CODE | $725
July 14-18

Campers will become secret agents in Operation Cipher! They will solve thrilling mysteries using cryptography, mastering codes, ciphers, and spycraft through top-secret missions. Each day will bring new challenges, as they learn real encryption techniques. They’ll learn the power of teamwork and quick thinking.

WEEK 4 | THE REEL DEAL: MEDIA MADE FUN! | $725
July 21-25

Campers will step into the role of filmmakers, learning everything from storyboarding and scripting to filming and editing. They’ll be introduced to various aspects of media production, allowing them to work in teams to produce their own short films. This week’s focus will be on creativity, storytelling, and technical skills like camera work and video editing.

With two campuses, our main campus on Mercer Island and our new preschool campus in the vibrant Capitol Hill area of Seattle, the French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS) is a private, bilingual school for children age 18 months (tiny young pre-kindergarten) through grade 8.
