Applying to FASPS
Your Journey Starts Here
Applying to FASPS is the first step toward joining a vibrant bilingual community where students are known, challenged, and inspired.
-
Language Requirements
We welcome students of all language backgrounds. No prior French is required for admission. Beginning in Grade 1, students without French experience, especially highly capable learners, will be admitted into our FAST (French Accelerated Scholars Track) program, where they will receive tailored support to thrive in our bilingual environment.
-
School Readiness
Applicants for TYPK (18 months–2 years) are not required to be potty-trained. Children entering FASPS in YPK are expected to be out of diapers.
-
Application Materials
Teacher evaluations may be required for all applicants, and students applying to middle school will be asked to write a short introductory essay. Please see below for more details on the application process.
how to Apply
-
Sign up for an in-person tour or register to attend one of our open houses in Ravenna, our application portal.
-
Create a profile on Ravenna and submit your application. A nonrefundable fee of $110 is due with your application.
-
Schedule a family discussion with the admissions office (Admissions@fasps.org). The family discussion is another opportunity for you to ask questions about FASPS and a time for us to get to know your family better. This session is intended for the entire family.
-
For preschool and kindergarten applicants with prior schooling, please provide a link to the teacher evaluation form found in Ravenna to your child's current teacher. They can then submit it directly to FASPS online. For grades 1–8, please upload two years of your student's report cards. Middle school students are required to submit a short essay and fill out an activities form.

Preschool Applicants: Discovery Morning
Preschool and kindergarten applicants are invited to attend this fun community event for prospective families where they will spend time in a classroom with other children their age, playing and doing craft projects facilitated by our teachers. During that time, parents have a chance to mingle with other applicant families and members of our community. Discovery Morning takes place on a Saturday in March.
Elementary and Middle School Applicants: Class Visit Day
Local elementary and middle school applicants are invited to experience a day at FASPS in their current grade level. Our goal is to meet your child in person and get to know them, while they have a chance to discover FASPS. Class visit days should be scheduled with the Director of Enrollment Management (PenelopeS@fasps.org).
