Some of the most powerful learning happens beyond the classroom

At FASPS, Extended Trips & Travel are a defining part of the student experience—designed to deepen academic learning, strengthen language skills, and help students grow into globally minded, confident individuals.

From local environmental exploration to international travel, each journey builds skills, perspective, and lifelong memories.

What STUDENTS GAIN

Growth That Lasts a Lifetime. Through travel experiences, students develop:

Independence and confidence

Cultural understanding and empathy

Real-world language skills

Adaptability and problem-solving

GRADE-LEVEL TRAVEL Experiences

A Journey That Grows With Each Student

FASPS thoughtfully builds travel experiences as students grow, ensuring each trip is developmentally appropriate and deeply meaningful. These capstone experiences help students leave FASPS as confident global communicators.

  • Students spend time at IslandWood, an outdoor education center where they explore nature, sustainability, and environmental science through hands-on learning.

This experience fosters curiosity, independence, and connection to the natural world.

  • Students travel to Washington, D.C. to explore American history, government, and national landmarks firsthand.

This trip deepens classroom learning while helping students understand their role in a broader civic world.

  • Grade 6 students travel to Florida to visit NASA and the Kennedy Space Center, experiencing science, engineering, and space exploration up close.

It’s an inspiring experience that brings STEM learning to life.

  • Students travel to France to experience language, culture, history, and daily life firsthand.

This trip is a cornerstone of the FASPS bilingual journey, allowing students to apply their French skills in real-world settings.

  • Students who study Mandarin or Spanish take their learning abroad—traveling to China or Costa Rica to engage with local culture and practice their language skills in authentic environments.

Exchange Programs

Global Connections That Last

One of the most exciting opportunities for our Middle School students is the chance to participate in international exchange trips. FASPS partners with sister schools and organizations in France, the Canary Islands, and Taiwan to provide students with an immersive multicultural experience.
