Annual Fund 2012-13
La levée de fonds annuelle 2012-13
At the French American School of Puget Sound we challenge students to excel academically and thrive in French, American and International cultures.
What does the school do for my child?
At FASPS, the priority is always the development of each student. As each one learns and progresses at his/her own pace, each student ought to be at the center of our program. A bilingual education in a multi-cultural environment with high academic expectations requires a strong and thorough plan to differentiate from one student to the other: assessing the need(s) of each, developing plans to support these needs, and finally providing the resources to implement the plans. These are the steps to ensuring an impactful differentiation plan. As we implement these initiatives, the Annual Fund becomes an essential component in ensuring adequate resources are available to support the program.
Why the Annual Fund?
As in most independent schools in the US, tuition revenue doesn’t cover the full cost of our education. At FASPS, about 8% of the budget is not covered by what tuition generates. This “gap” amounts to $1,600 per student that we must raise in order to sustain our program this year. With 287 families at school, gifts of all sizes will matter, and together will get us to our financial goal of $200,000!
FASPS is an independent school that receives no direct subsidies from the French or U.S. governments.
