The FASPS Middle School/Collège follows the French Ministry of Education Program and the Washington State Common Core standards. The harmonized program that exists has been formed with a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that FASPS believes is important for our students.
The program opened its doors in a new state-of-the art facility in September 2008. The Middle School is now complete with Grades 6, 7, and 8.
Middle school students engage in a core curriculum that provides the academic and critical thinking skills necessary for success in high school and beyond. Emphasis is also placed on fostering students' sense of personal responsibility and independence, as well as cultivating forward thinking and a global philosophy geared toward living in a complex and interconnected world.
The bilingual curriculum in French and English is an extension of our current elementary bilingual program, which is fully accredited by the French Ministry of Education . Modeled after other successful French American middle schools, this program is fully open to current FASPS students as well as to students enrolled in French American schools locally and throughout North America. It is also open to students in French schools in France and worldwide.
Sports and physical education take place at the adjacent Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) facilities, which include a gymnasium and a swimming pool.
Upon completion of middle school, students are well-prepared to attend a wide range of high schools both public and private, locally, nationally, and internationally.
