Children in the Lower School enjoy a rich introduction to the French and American cultures and languages.

They benefit from the strengths of both educational systems, and the synergy gained from linking the two. Our internationally recognized program inspires children to develop a lifelong love of learning, which they carry with them long after their years at FASPS.

In the maternelle (YPK and PK) and kindergarten classes, children learn through play and open-ended activities, as well as structured instruction time. Our goal is to guide their development of motor, artistic, social and language skills. Building on these fundamentals, the elementary program provides rigorous academic foundation in both English and French. The curriculum throughout the Lower School is child-centered and developmentally sequenced, and engages students in learning in an exciting and challenging manner. Curious and energetic children fill the classrooms and hallways at FASPS - one immediately sees that learning is truly alive!
