Parents

Parents at FASPS represent a dynamic group of internationally-minded families who nurture the School's strong sense of community through a variety of social events and volunteer opportunities.

All parents and guardians are members of the Parent Professor Committee (PPC). This parent and teacher organization fosters a culture of cooperation, mutual respect and school spirit.

The school year is bracketed by two popular picnics which the entire community enjoys. Each fall the PPC hosts a festive welcome-back-to-school Fall Picnic for families, teachers and staff. It features entertainment for the students, a potluck feast, and organized activities. Wrapping up the year is the Year End All School Picnic, where families connect and socialize before summer break begins.

Parents show their support for faculty and staff in a variety of ways. Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week includes special treats and gestures organized by the PPC and students. It culminates in a hearty luncheon with an array of delicious foods celebrating the hard work and dedication of FASPS teachers and staff.

Finally, a key parent effort is the New Family Liaison. A small team of French and Americans, the New Family Liaison, links newly arrived families at FASPS with sponsor families who have been at the school for a few years and have children of roughly the same age. The sponsor family is available to answer questions and help better explain how our school works, while providing a personal contact within the school community.

When a child enrolls at FASPS, the entire family becomes part of a wonderfully diverse and vibrant environment where all are valued and welcome. Join us and get involved!
