Solom Heddaya

Abdelsalam 'Solom' Heddaya serves as senior software architect at Microsoft, focusing on reliability of the Windows operating system. Previously, he co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of InfoLibria, a 200-person internet infrastructure company in Boston. The startup was based on nearly a decade of research he did as professor of Computer Science at Boston University. Solom holds a PhD from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree from Alexandria University, Egypt.

In addition to enjoying his roles as a teacher, engineer, mentor, researcher and entrepreneur, Solom likes ping pong, reading, sailing, and traveling. Everyone in Solom's family went to bilingual grade schools including not only his wife, Mohga, and three children, Mostafa (Ecole Bilingue a Boston alumnus), Shehab (FASPS alumnus) and Mourad (FASPS 4th grade), but also his mother and brother.
