Michelle Kline is a member of Genesee Investments LLC, a Bellevue based private money management firm registered with the SEC as an investment adviser. Genesee manages several domestic and offshore fund of hedge funds investment vehicles for high net worth individuals and institutional investors from throughout the world. Michelle has been with Genesee since 1990 and oversees all operational, structural, regulatory, compliance, tax and accounting aspects of Genesee and the Genesee funds. Prior to joining Genesee, Michelle was a senior audit manager for a national CPA firm and focused primarily on audits of publicly traded companies, public securities offerings and other SEC filings.
Michelle serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hedge Fund Business Operations Association and she is frequently recruited as a speaker for national conferences on topics relating to operational, regulatory and compliance aspects of hedge funds. Michelle is also a member of Seraph Capital Forum, the Northwest Entrepreneur Network, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants (WSCPA). Michelle is a past chair of the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee of the WSCPA and a past member of the Washington State Board of Accountancy's Equivalent Experience Committee.
Presently serving her third term as chair of the FASPS Board of Trustees, Michelle previously served three terms as Board treasurer. Michelle's other recent community activities include serving as a member of the Children, Youth and Families Community Impact Council of the United Way of King County and as past chair of the Human Services Commission for the City of Bellevue. From 1999 to 2001 Michelle served as treasurer of the FASPS Parent Teacher Association and was a co-chair of the 2000 FASPS gala and auction.
Michelle is married to Peter Kline, a Senior Vice President with Merrill Lynch, and they are the parents of Kevin Butler, Evan Kline and Eric Kline. Evan attended FASPS from 1998 to 2006. Eric is in his fourth year at FASPS and is in 2nd grade.
