A 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, FASPS is governed by a Board of Trustees.
These individuals bring a wealth of skills and experience, and working together, provide strategic direction and oversight for the school. The Board has ultimate responsibility for the school. Yet beyond its legal accountability, the Board has a greater duty: to hold the school, its mission, and its future in trust.
This is an important distinction from the role of managing the operations of the school which is the role of the Head of School. The Board has only one employee - the Head of School. It is the responsibility of the Board to select, nurture and evaluate the Head. The Board works in partnership with the Head to ensure the ongoing integrity of the school and to perpetuate the institution.
