At FASPS we make every effort to provide families and children with a positive experience throughout the admission process.
Our goal is to provide the information needed to make an informed decision and ensuring that FASPS is a good fit for students and their families.

Applications for admissions are accepted at any time.
The application consists of the completed Application Form, an $80 non-refundable fee and a completed Teacher Recommendation Form (for grades YPK, PK, and K).
The deadline for applying is Thursday February 9, 2012. Decision letters will be mailed Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Requirements
· Students must be fully toilet trained for the first day of school
· Students entering Young PreKindergarten (YPK) in the Fall must be 3 before December 31
· Students entering PreKindergarten (PK) in the Fall must be 4 before December 31
· Students entering Kindergarten (K) in the Fall must be 5 before December 31
· Applicants to YPK, PK or K are not required to have any French language experience
· Applicants to Grade One and up are required to speak French

Parents
Attend an Open House
The admissions process begins with parents attending an Open House. Parents will learn about our school and our outstanding bilingual program set in an international environment. They will also have the opportunity to speak with teachers, parents and administrative team members, and hear about a typical day for young children.
Following are the dates of our two Preschool and Elementary Open Houses (Parents only please):

Visit the school
The tour provides the opportunity to view classes, see the facilities and learn more about a student's daily experience at FASPS. We strongly encourage parents to visit the school as it is the best way to see how engaged our students are.
Tours are conducted on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Please contact us to sign up.
Parent and Child Interview
Once an application is received, the Director of Admissions will schedule an interview for parents and child.
Students
Children entering YPK through Kindergarten attend a Discovery Morning on a Saturday during the month of February or March. In a friendly and warm setting, teachers interact with children in small groups. Children participate in several developmental activities designed to assess school readiness. The Discovery Morning sessions run between 30 minutes (YPK) to 45 minutes (PK and K).
